Emporium Bangkok: Celebrities' shopping mall For me, Emporium is a classic shopping mall along with Central Plaza Lardprao. It was the first up-market shopping mall in Bangkok like Central Plaza Lardprao which was the first mega shopping mall in Thailand. Emporium is a trendsetter. Boast as "The ultimate shopping complex for the millenium", Emporium is the only upmarket shopping mall in Sukhumvit. It offers a wide array of foreign imports due to its location in Bangkok's foreign residential area. Emporium is popular among Thai celebrities such as movie stars, singers, businessmen, etc. (I saw singers like Tata Young, Jay Jetrin, a tennis star like Paradon Srichaphan and his wife Miss Universe 2005, etc.) Japanese can be seen everywhere as well since they most live in Sukhumvit and Little Tokyo. (Public announcements also provided in Japanese.) Emporium is a mid size shopping mall which stands out for its lively food market (5th. floor), vast consumer electronics (4th. floor), and designer labels like Chanel, Versace, Kenzo, La Perla, etc. ( various floors.)
