As a city which never sleeps, Bangkok fits well in
entertainment. It's a party city.
Entertainment
is a big business, some housed in
huge complexes
(e.g.
cinemas,
massage
parlors,
theaters,
etc.) Most Bangkok people
enjoy a
night out on
Fridays and
weekends.
While entertainment is a big
business here, it is also very volatile specifically
for pubs and bars. Many boomed and became the
"Talk of town"
in just overnight but then lasted
only a year
or two. The ones
I have listed below are the experts in
the
entertainment
business.
They have been around for
decades and some even since the
Vietnam War.
Along
with
entertainment,
Bangkok also
has several
places for
your
recreation.
Most of
these are
classic
attractions
like Wat Po,
Lumpini
park, and
Lumpini
Muaythai
stadium.
I have
listed below
the selected
attractions
where
Bangkok
people go
for
entertainment
and
recreation.
Note:
1. Pubs and
bars are
closed on
religious
holidays and
the election days.
2. Alcohol
are
forbidden
for sale on
the Buddhist
Lent and
Asalaha
Bucha days
(around the
end of July)
and the
night before
any election
day.
