mall
about 20
years.
Big Bell attracted visitors for the
cinemas and Pantip Chinese restaurant

store. Shortly after opening, Big
Bell could

for
years until becoming Thailand’s
first
all
round
computer
mall during 1986-87.
Since then, Pantip Plaza has become
a playground for Thai computer shoppers
and a stepping stone for

of the

Pantip
Plaza
truly boomed due to high demand in
custom made PCs since 1991. Today,
it is jam packed with computer hardware,
accessories,
digital
cameras,
software
programs
(bootlegs, from time to time),
MP3s,
books,
computer
repair
service,
etc.

from
any manufacturers you prefer.
And in about 2
hours
(or longer
on
a
busy
day,) your PC is ready and fully
installed with software programs well enough

programs. As the oldest computer
mall, you may likely find your
grandfather computer parts and
accessories on the 5th. floor. Pantip Plaza is also a place
for budget shoppers who are looking for
used notebooks, desktops, monitors,
etc. This is the only computer
mall you're likely to find what you're
after comparing to others in Bangkok.
Despite the opening hours from 10 am to
7:30 pm, some shops open at their own
comfort and as late as 12
pm. You should better shop here
between 12 to 6 pm. Also, do not
expect the malls to be organized by
categories like software programs,
hardware, accessories, etc. Pantip
Plaza turns over its shops all the time
so any shop can be anywhere. This
can be tiring for any shoppers hunting
for the best
deal.
