Savor the original Fried Curry
Crab together with Tom Yum Goong dishes
you'll never find anywhere else.
As a country occupying long coastal lines,
seafood is one of the top list of all Thai
dishes. (Tom Yum Goong is a good proof for
this.) That said, finding a seafood
restaurant in Thailand is not quite
difficult. But finding a good one is
another thing.
Seafood for Thais mean "slow eats, big
meal." Seafood must be served fresh
requiring long cooking time. Therefore, it
is more common to see Thais in a seafood
restaurant or a cozy food stall not in a food
court for quick
eats.
Of all the seafood restaurants in Bangkok,
Somboon Seafood restaurant is among the leaders
and the pioneer. Somboon Seafood is famous for Tom Yum
Goong or Sweet and spicy prawn soup and
Curried crab or Fried crab in curry which the
restaurant boasts as the originator. The restaurant is very popular among Thais,
expatriates, and tourists including Japan's former prime minister,
Mr.Koizumi where his photo is also displayed at
the restaurant. Somboon Seafood restaurant has several
branches around Bangkok.

Reveiw
Fried curry crab is a popular Thai seafood dish
and Somboon Seafood who claims to be the
originator deserves so. The restaurant
also excels in Tom Yum Goong or sweet and spicy
sour prawn soup (Thailand's most renown dish,)
and fried morning glory flower. Most
dishes here are rich and not so spicy.
Children can be seen enjoying the food here as
well.
Do note that Somboon Seafood's fried curry crab
can be a little sweet for some sensitive
eaters. It's rich and oily and to balance
out, should be to be eaten the Thai way, with
steam
rice.
